Two New Services Launched Under the Telecom Licensing System

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority has launched two new services under the Telecom Licensing System, aimed at enhancing service governance and improving operational efficiency within the telecom sector. The Local Content Service enables licensees to submit updates on local content data, including investments, training, and qualification initiatives, in accordance with licensing terms and conditions. Meanwhile, Shareholders Service enables the accurate updating of shareholders’ data, in accordance with the provisions and requirements of the licensing framework.

Telecommunications Regulatory Authority Updates Domain Name Services System

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority has updated the Domain Name Services system as part of the development of an integrated electronic platform aimed at automating internet domain name management services for (.om) and (.عُمان) domains. The update contributes to simplifying and accelerating procedures, enhancing the experience of accredited registrars, and improving service efficiency and quality in line with governance and quality standards.
The updated system includes a range of digital services, such as the accreditation of new registrars, updating and managing the status of existing accredited registrars, revoking accreditation, managing financial payments, reviewing domain name classification requests and general inquiries, as well as handling premium domain name requests for domain auctions. These enhancements support digital transformation initiatives and strengthen the efficiency of the domain name management ecosystem in the Sultanate of Oman.

Telecommunications Regulatory Authority Organizes Introductory Session on the Nafadh Initiative

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority organized an introductory session on the Nafadh Initiative, aimed at qualifying and developing freelancers in the telecom and information technology sectors. The session sought to introduce the initiative, its objectives, and its areas of focus. Projects valued at OMR 1.8 million were assigned through the Nafadh Initiative, in addition to providing 92 intensive training opportunities for freelancers, combining both theoretical and practical training.
