Telecom Sector Opens New Outlet in Al Suwaiq for the Nafadh Initiative

The telecom sector has opened a new outlet for the Nafadh Initiative in Wilayat Al Suwaiq, North Al Batinah Governorate, aimed at providing a supportive work environment for freelancers in the telecom and information technology sectors. This marks the initiative’s first expansion outside Muscat Governorate, as part of efforts to extend its reach across various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
The launch comes within the telecom sector’s broader efforts to empower freelancers by offering an enabling environment that supports the development of their technical skills and transforms them into digital products and services applicable to the market. This enhances their role as active contributors to the digital economy and supports the creation of flexible and sustainable employment opportunities.
The initiative target graduates of telecom and network engineering, providing multiple pathways, whether through joining operating companies in the sector or pursuing freelancing and entrepreneurship. Nafadh focuses on building practical skills and enhancing professional readiness, contributing to the digital economy and enhancing the efficiency of the national workforce, in alignment with Oman’s strategic direction for telecom sector development.
