أصدرت هيئة تنظيم الاتصالات التقرير نصف السنوي لقطاعي الاتصالات والبريد للفترة من يناير إلى يونيو 2025 موضحة استمرار النمو في بنية الاتصالات في سلطنة عمان.

أشار التقرير إلى ارتفاع عدد محطات الجيل الخامس إلى 6,671 محطة بنسبة نمو %23 مقارنة بالنصف الأول من عام 2024؛ مما يعزز تغطية شبكات الاتصالات في مختلف المحافظات، وبلغ عدد اشتراكات الهاتف المتنقل 6.47 ملايين، فيما وصلت اشتراكات النطاق العريض المتنقل إلى 5.52 ملايين اشتراك بمعدل انتشار يتجاوز %105 من إجمالي عدد السكان.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of the Sultanate of Oman has launched the experimental phase of its Central Number Portability System from October 19 to November 13, 2023. This significant milestone in the telecom sector is designed to streamline the process of switching mobile service providers while allowing consumers to keep their existing phone numbers.

In an advisory issued, the TRA warned public not to be deceived by flashy or exaggerated advertisements and emphasised the importance of verifying that any property, product, or service being promoted actually exists. The Authority also advised users to conduct business only with licensed and verified providers to ensure the legitimacy of their transactions.
