The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority held a specialized workshop with companies operating in technical professions within the telecom sector to discuss the National Program for Regulating Technical and Operational Professions. The program aims to develop national competencies and enhance service delivery efficiency to end users "last-mile".

The workshop sought to brief companies on the key features of the proposed regulatory framework, gather their feedback and technical observations, and discuss the operational and training challenges associated with these professions. The discussions aim to support the development of a practical and progressive regulatory framework that ensures service quality requirements and promotes sustainable sector growth.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, in collaboration with Ericsson, hosted the Telecom and Technology Forum for the Business Sector, with the participation of specialists from both public and private sectors. The forum aimed to highlight the regulatory and technical frameworks that support the expansion of private 5G networks and advance digital and industrial transformation.

The forum featured several key themes, including opportunities in industrial digital transformation, digital transformation in airports and ports, as well as digital transformation in the oil and gas sector and the manufacturing industry.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority has won the award for Best Entity Achieving Government Compliance in the field of Information Technology as part of the Government Digital Excellence – Second Edition 2025.

The Authority was honored during the fourth edition of the “Together Forward” Forum, organized by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to enhance communication between the government and the society. The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology announced the winners of the second edition of the Government Digital Excellence Award 2025 during a ceremony held under the patronage of H.E. Saeed bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Saqri, Economic Advisor at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs.
